Notes built as open-sided single-decker; rebuilt to present condition at Byker works 1903; fitted with air brakes and present electrical equipment c.1922 (previously B3 controllers and four 25HP GE58 motors); W.2/1949; to Longbenton 5/1950; to Bury 7/1954; to Montagu Motor Museum (now National Motor Museum, Beaulieu,) 3/1958; to Byker depot 3/1967, to Clay Cross 4/1970; to Crich 3/1975 (restored to 1933 condition by TMS). Unique example of bogie open-top workmen's car.
